FAQs

Q?

Do I need a referral?

A.

Yes. You will need a referral from your family doctor or a specialist if you wish to claim a rebate from Medicare. You will need to bring the referral at the first time you see me. The referral from your family doctor is valid for 12 months and 3 months from another specialist.

Q?

Do I have to have private health insurance to see Dr Lee?

A.

Yes, I prefer to see patients who have insured with private found. However, if you are pregnant and wish to deliver your baby at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, I am happy to look after you for your pregnancy and deliver your baby at the Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Q?

What are my fees and expenses?

A.

If you are an obstetric patient, my fee structure will be explained to you with a detailed letter at the first consultation.

If you are a gynaecological patient requiring admission to hospital and/or surgery, I usually charge the fees as recommended in the Australian Medical Association’s Schedule of Fees. This may involve a gap payment payable by you. Explanation and a quotation will be provided to you before any proposed procedure.
